Vikash Kumar

Vikash Kumar's journey began in a small town — Simdega, Jharkhand — where he studied in a government school. That upbringing sits at the very heart of everything he builds. Having lived through the same system himself, he understands the real, root-level struggles students face, and that lived experience gives him a genuine ability to read what an aspirant is actually going through.
A B.Tech in Marine Engineering, paired with hands-on knowledge of AI and Machine Learning, gives Vikash a rare blend of maritime depth and modern-technology fluency. It is this combination that shapes the way Searainly is being built.
The core purpose behind Searainly is to give students proper direction in their preparation — not generic content, but real ship-life experiences and activities drawn directly from Vikash's own sailing career and translated into unique, practical study material. This real-experience-driven approach is what sets Searainly apart from any other maritime coaching platform.
Having sailed with the Merchant Navy himself, Vikash is driven to give back what he learned at sea — so that Indian seafarers can feel genuine pride in their profession. In June 2024 he founded India's first dedicated maritime coaching institute guiding students through GP Rating, GME and ETO preparation, which has already seen strong early success. He is also the founder of SMVD Marine Academy.
Today he is building a platform specifically for students who cannot afford expensive offline coaching but still deserve real, quality help preparing for their interviews. Vikash firmly believes that self-study alone takes significantly longer to clear exams — the right guidance accelerates the journey — and that investing in the Merchant Navy industry, through the right guidance and the right path, is a genuinely wise long-term decision for any aspirant.
He now leads the Maritime Mentor AI project. His vision is clear: as Captain AI and Chief Engineer AI reach their full potential — offering fully experienced interview simulations complete with real-time feedback and body-language analysis — this will spark yet another revolution in maritime education. Of that, he has no doubt.
